兵庫県六甲山の間伐材を活用したサスティナブルな酒器

六甲山の整備のため間伐されたさまざまな種類の木材には、素材としては優れているものの、再利用の難しい端材が多く出てしまう課題があります。その端材を有効活用するため、兵庫県内で活躍する木作アーティストが酒器を製作します。アーティストの直感で、木材の個性を見極め、形づくられる酒器の表情から六甲山の恵を感じ、個性豊かな木々の風合いをお楽しみください。

SAKAMORI PROJECT は、持続可能な社会を目指し、SDGs17の目標の内【働きがいも経済成長も・産業と技術革新の基盤を作ろう・住み続けられるまちづくりを・つくる責任 つかう責任・陸の豊かさも守ろう】を中心に達成へ貢献してまいります。

灘五郷酒造組合と神戸木材業協同組合による共同事業で六甲山の間伐材（広葉樹）を使用した酒器を製作販売。

灘五郷とは

灘五郷は、西郷・御影郷・魚崎郷・西宮郷・今津郷の５つの地域からなる日本を代表する酒どころ。

日本海から瀬戸内海まで広がる大きな県土を有し、「兵庫五国」と呼ばれるほど地域によって異なる気候や地形から、地域ごとの豊かな特色を持っている兵庫県。日本酒の歴史を育んできた兵庫県には、日本酒造りに適した自然の条件が備わっており、私たちはその恩恵を受け、何百年もの間、日本酒造りを行ってきました。

日本酒の味は、その土地の気候・風土・歴史文化の影響を受け、育まれていきます。「灘五郷」は酒づくりに適した環境を育む「六甲山」から大きな恩恵を受けてきました。降り注ぐ水や風など、六甲山がもたらす気候風土を利用して酒造りを行ってきた先人の知恵を想うとき、私たちは酒造りを通して自然環境を守り続けることの大切さを感じます。

これまで受け継いできた歴史と伝統を礎として日本酒造りを続け、美味しいお酒を楽しんでいただくために、時代に応じた新たな循環システムを構築し、よりよい社会を次世代に引き継いでまいります。

兵庫県酒造組合連合会では地域の木材業と協働し、新しい循環型産業の形として、「地域の間伐材を使った酒器」を製作販売する、「SAKAMORI（酒×森）プロジェクト」に取り組みます。

※ 収益の一部は、公益社団法人兵庫県緑化推進協会を通し、「ひょうごの森づくり」へ寄付され、森林整備などに活用されます。

Sustainable sake cups made from thinned wood from Mt. Rokko, Hyogo Prefecture

SAKAMORI PROJECT is a project that aims to create an environmentally sustainable society by creating products that make effective use of Hyogo's natural resources under the concept of "SAKAMORI" in praise of Hyogo's "forests" that have supported Hyogo's "sake brewing" and by donating a portion of the proceeds to fund activities to protect the nature in Hyogo Prefecture.

Many types of lumber which is thinned to maintain Mt.Rokko are excellent as a material. However, there is a problem of producing a lot of scrap wood that is difficult to recycle. In order to make effective use of such offcuts, wood artists active in Hyogo Prefecture will produce sake cups. The artists will use their intuition to identify the individual characteristics of the wood and create sake cups that will allow visitors to feel the bounty of Mt.Rokko.

The Federation of Hyogo Prefecture Brewers is working with the local lumber industry on the "Hyogo Sake x Forest (SAKAMORI) Project" to produce and sell sake containers made of lumber from thinning in the region as a new form of recycling-oriented industry.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to "Hyogo Forest Growing" through the Hyogo Prefecture Afforestation Promotion Association to be used for forest maintenance and other purposes.

SAKAMORI PROJECT aims to contribute to the achievement of the 17 goals of the SDGs, which are: "DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH" "INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE" "SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES" "RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION" and "LIFE ON LAND”.

What is Nadagogo?

Nadagogo is one of the most famous sake brewing areas in Japan, consisting of five regions: Nishi-go, Mikage-go, Uozaki-go, Nishinomiya-go, and Imazu-go.

Hyogo Prefecture has a large land area stretching from the Sea of Japan to the Seto Inland Sea, and is known as "Hyogo's Five Provinces" because of the different climates and landscapes of the various regions. Hyogo Prefecture has a long history of nurturing sake, and has the natural conditions suitable for sake brewing, which we have been doing for hundreds of years. The taste of sake is influenced and nurtured by the local climate, terroir, history and culture. " Nadagogo " has benefited greatly from "Mt. Rokko," which fosters an environment suitable for sake brewing. When we think of the wisdom of our predecessors who made use of the climate and terroir of Mt. Rokko, such as water and wind, we feel the importance of continuing to protect the natural environment through sake brewing. We will continue to brew sake based on the history and traditions we have inherited, and in order for our customers to enjoy delicious sake, we will build a new recycling system in accordance with the times and pass on a better society to the next generation.
